The Mepilex Ag Foam Dressing 4” x 4” (S7 287100) is a antimicrobial soft, absorbent, and conformable foam dressing that delivers fast and sustained antimicrobial protection for low to moderately exuding wounds. Designed with Safetac® technology, it minimizes pain and trauma during dressing changes by gently adhering to intact skin without sticking to the wound bed.
Infused with silver, Mepilex Ag begins inactivating a broad range of wound-relevant pathogens within 30 minutes (in vitro), maintaining its antimicrobial effect for up to 7 days (in vitro). This not only reduces bioburden but may also help control wound-related odor.
Ideal for managing pressure ulcers, leg and foot ulcers, and partial-thickness burns, Mepilex Ag is also suitable for use under compression bandages. It can be easily cut to fit challenging wound locations and maintains a moist wound environment to promote healing.
Mepilex Ag’s breathable, waterproof film backing helps prevent maceration by locking in exudate and sealing wound edges. The dressing is easy to apply, reposition, and remove without compromising its adhesive properties or patient comfort.

When to use Mepilex Ag Dressing
Mepilex Ag can effectively manage low to moderately exuding wounds, including leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, and partial-thickness burns. Additionally, it can be used in conjunction with compression bandaging.
How to use Mepilex Ag Dressings
Learn how to easily apply our all-in-one Mepilex Ag dressing. Begin by cleaning the wound before applying the dressing. For optimal results, the Mepilex Ag should overlap the dry surrounding skin by at least 1-2 cm.
Step 1
Cleanse the wound with saline solution or water according to standard clinical practice. Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly.

Step 2
Select appropriate dressing size. For best clinical outcomes, ensure that the product covers the wound bed and overlaps the wound edges. Cut to appropriate size (if needed). Remove the release films and apply the adherent side to the wound. Do not stretch.
Step 3
When necessary, fixate Mepilex Ag with a bandage or other fixation.
