ConvaTec Sur-Fit Natura Durahesive Flex Skin Barrier with Tan Collar, 10 CT
A reliable and flexible ostomy skin barrier designed for patients with liquid or loose stoma output. This barrier uses ConvaTec’s advanced Durahesive® technology to gently swell and form a secure seal around the stoma—protecting delicate peristomal skin from leakage and irritation. The low-profile flange and soft, flexible tape collar increase comfort during daily wear and provide lasting adhesion, even during bathing or physical activity. Designed for compatibility with the ConvaTec two-piece ostomy system, this skin barrier allows users to easily snap pouches on and off without removing the base.
How to Use the Sur-Fit Natura Durahesive Flex Skin Barrier:
1. Clean and dry the skin around the stoma.
2. Center the cut-to-fit opening of the Durahesive barrier over the stoma.
3. Press the barrier firmly onto the skin, smoothing outward from the stoma for full contact.
4. Remove the paper backing from the flexible tape collar—one side at a time—and press into place.
5. Maintain gentle pressure over the entire barrier for at least 30 seconds to improve adhesion.
6. Attach the matching pouch from the SUR-FIT Natura system until you hear the audible “click” that ensures a secure connection.
Tip: The Durahesive barrier may gently swell upon contact with stoma output to create a “turtleneck” effect for added leak protection.
