Not embarassing to wear.
Use them continuously. They are comfortable and give me a good feeling of protection. However, I weigh a little over 200 and am about 5'8" and am not able to get them all the way up in the back. Cannot imagine anyone weighing the limit for these shorts to be able to wear them at all.
