Coloplast Assura Two-Piece Convex Light Extended Wear Pre-Cut Skin Barrier With Belt Tabs is a mechanical coupling providing increased security. With an audible ‘click’ confirming its attachment to the barrier, the pouch is locked in place and can be rotated for a customized position to match your body's orientation - such as standing, lying down, or emptying - without the need for removal. This mechanical coupling is designed for use by both left and right-handed individuals. In addition, the pouch can be changed independently of the spiral adhesive barrier, allowing for a more frequent replacement of the pouch. Available in a variety of styles including standard and extended wear, the range includes flat, convex light, and convex barriers, which can either be pre-cut or “cut-to-fit” for a custom fit. The range also includes drainable, closed, and urostomy pouches as well as special solutions such as a night drainage bag, minicap and more. Moreover, there are both transparent and opaque pouches with a color-coded coupling system corresponding to Assura AC and SenSura Flex barriers. The Assura spiral adhesive is a special blend of materials which provides secure adherence to your skin, as well as absorbs moisture from your skin to protect from irritation. This adhesive is especially beneficial for those with a urostomy as it provides an extra layer of protection against the more aggressive output they often have. Assura 2-piece barriers also come in two different levels of convexity, allowing a better fit and more effective coverage around stomas which are flush, retracted, or in a skin fold. It works by applying pressure to the peristomal skin, which prevents any potential leakage by allowing the stoma to protrude.
