Hollister's Hydrofera Blue Ready Transfer Foam Dressing is an external dressing that is specifically created for wound care and contains broad-spectrum antibacterial properties. This easy-to-use dressing comes in three sizes and is ideal for treating acute, traumatic, and chronic wounds such as ulcers, burns, donor sites, post-surgical incisions, wounds, abrasions, and lacerations.
Unlike most wound care treatments, Hydrofera Blue does not require any additional antibiotic ointment. The hydrophilic polyurethane foam used contains ethylene oxide, an effective bactericidal, fungicidal, and sporicidal disinfectant that also helps promote fast healing by maintaining a moist wound environment. Additionally, the foam absorbs water in under 30 seconds, effectively trapping exudates and bacteria in the dressing while also avoiding the dressing from sticking to the wound. Hydrofera Blue Ready Foam Dressing can remain in place up to seven days.
