Our Skin Barrier Arcs can be placed either on the skin underneath a pouching system or over the pouching system itself. When applied beneath the pouching system, the arcs create a smooth base and help to protect the skin from trauma that may be caused by the removal of adhesive tapes. When applied over the pouching system, the arcs provide an extra layer of security to prevent the edges of the wafer from lifting up, creasing, or becoming loose. These arcs come in both small and large sizes and provide a waterproof seal, allowing users to bathe, shower, or swim with confidence. Additionally, we also have Skin Barrier Sheets, which are thin hydrocolloid sheets that are highly absorbent and cut to fit - no starter hole, non-sterile - to protect the skin from stoma output.
