Promogran Prisma Matrix Silver Wound Dressing
What is PROMOGRAN PRISMA MATRIX?
Promogran Prisma® Dressing is an advanced wound care solution designed to support healing in complex or stalled wounds. This innovative matrix is composed of 55% collagen, 44% oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC), and 1% silver ORC, creating a powerful combination that encourages healing while helping protect against infection.
Upon contact with wound exudate, the Promogran Prisma Matrix transforms into a soft, conformable gel that covers the entire wound bed. This not only maintains a moist environment essential for tissue regeneration but also promotes the development of healthy granulation tissue. The added silver helps provide an antimicrobial barrier, making Promogran Prisma an ideal choice for advanced wound care management.
Who Should Use Promogran Prisma Wound Dressing?
The Promogran Prisma dressing is indicated for wounds healing by secondary intent, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, and traumatic injuries that are free of necrotic tissue.
Choose PROMOGRAN PRISMA® Matrix to help wounds heal efficiently, safely, and with confidence.
How to Use Promogran Prisma® Dressing
1. Clean the wound and debride if needed, following standard wound care protocol.
2. Apply Promogran Prisma® directly to the entire wound bed.
3. For dry or low-exudate wounds, moisten the dressing with sterile saline to activate the matrix.
4. Once hydrated, the dressing forms a soft gel that conforms to the wound surface.
5. The biodegradable gel is absorbed naturally over time.
6. Cover with a semi-occlusive or non-occlusive secondary dressing, and secure with non-irritating tape.
